Trump Tariffs Start Next Monday, September 24

WASHINGTON, USA – The Trump Tariffs on bicycles, e-bikes and bike products imported into the U.S. from China will enter into force next Monday, September 24. From that day onwards up to the end of the year a 10 percent tariff will be levied which is to be raised to 25 percent with the start of the New Year....


German Industry Association Warns for Offers on Battery Repairs

BAD SODEN, Germany – In an unusual public statement, the German industry association ZIV (Zweirad Industrie Verband) strongly advises against resorting to repair offers for e-bike batteries that cannot prove to have passd UN tests as well as against the manipulation of batteries and against the use of such manipulated batteries. “People endanger themselves and others and also lose the manufacturer’s warranty,” ZIN warns....


EICMA Milan Show Expands E-Bike Dedicated Floor Space

MILAN, Italy – The combination of increasing e-bike sales and the cancellation of the Italian CosmoBike show in September results in a growing interest for participating in the e-bike section of the upcoming EICMA motorcycle and bike show. “The Italian e-bike market is recording a straing growth. Last year some 150,000 were sold; 19 percent more than in 2016,” says Andrea Dell’Orto, President of the Italian industry association Confindustria ANCMA....
