Mad Bike was developed to offer an alternative experience in Madrid tours. When we organised the first bike tour that ever took place in Madrid in 2005, people  thought we had lost our minds!

Nowadays, more and more bikes can be seen in Madrid’s city centre and our activities are endorsed by the local government.

Our aim is to have you discover Madrid, the city that we love, with us. In both an active and relaxing way – away from the crowds and when possible- away from the traffic we will bring you closer to the real Madrid from the unique perspective of a cyclist.

Mad Bike gained reputation when the growing popularity of using the bicycle in the city was recognized by the local administration. Since then more than 120km of cycling lanes have been built in. The extensive use of the lanes stimulated development plans  when principles of sustainable urban development were discussed.

The use of an alternative means of transport being one of them (Mejor Con Bici).  With 65km lane that goes around Madrid (el anillo verde) and the center extension plan, Madrid will eventually have more than 200km cycling lanes, converting the city into the definite cyclists heaven in the heart of Spain.
